Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Does the chiropractor hurt?
A.  No.  In fact, most chiropractic experiences are favorable, and begin improving function immediately.
Q.  I heard you have to keep going to the chiropractor forever.  Is that true?
A.  Different people require different levels of care depending upon many factors.  Maintaining your spinal health at optimal levels requires a long-term approach, much like maintaining dental hygiene by visiting your dentist on a regular schedule.  Some people require longer, more intensive care and some people do not.
Q.  Is it bad to "crack" your neck a lot?
A.  Most people who pop their necks are trying to relieve tension or tightness in their necks caused from some underlying spinal problem.  Having vast knowledge about the dynamics of the spine, chiropractors know how and when a spinal bone should be adjusted.  Arbitrarily popping or cracking your neck often times leads to more problems than it solves, so it's a good idea to leave the adjusting to those qualified.
